Makeni All Stars have maintained their brilliant start to the season as they made it two wins in a row.
Chirundu United and Roan United also recorded wins while Atletico Lusaka suffered their second defeat of the season.
The ZPL National League entered week 2 of action and it was packed with exciting matches as Makeni All Stars welcomed Kitwe United, Indeni played host to Forest Rangers while Kafue Celtic was away to Lumwana Radiants.
At Reiz Arena, Makeni All Stars made it back to back wins as they saw off Kitwe United with a comfortable 2-0 win thanks to goals from Happy Chilongo and Emmanuel Silomba.
Chirundu United came from a goal down to beat Trident FC 2-1. Changala Simutenda put Trident in the lead only for Philimon Chilimina to level matters before Godfrey Chinga could seal the win late in the second half.
In Luanshya, Roan United edged Atletico Lusaka 1-0 to hand the Bad Boys their second loss of the season.
Kafue Celtic and Lumwana Radiants played to a goalless draw while Indeni and Forest Rangers played to a 1-1 draw. Jonathan Munalula’s first minute goal was cancelled out by Hope Katwishi’s 71st minute strike.
Locus and Riverplate played to a 1-1 draw while big spenders, Aguila Stars are still looking for their first of the season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Mpulungu Harbor.
