Napsa Stars to reinforce in mid-season says Fathi

Napsa Stars head coach Mohammed Fathi has revealed that the club will reinforce their squad in the mid-season transfer window.

Fathi was speaking after watching his side fight back from a goal down to rescue a draw away in Mazabuka on Saturday.

“The injury to Simon Nkhata and Austin Banda affected so that’s why we have to our recruitment in mid-season,” he said.

Fathi has maintained his stance that the Pensioners are fighting to play Continental football come next season.

On the draw against Nakambala Leopards Fathi felt his players worked hard to fight back and force a draw despite the target being winning every game they play.

“We are fighting to play Continental. For away games, its not a bad results but our aim is to win every game. I appreciate the effort from the players coming from a goal down. We missed a lot of chances but we have to put it behind us and focus on the next game,” he said.

Despite the pressure the players did well, We created a lot of chances but the Nakambala keeper made a lot of saves,” he added.

Next on the cards for the Pensioners is a trip to Kabwe to face the Magnificent People’s team on December 14th a match Fathi believes won’t be easy.

” It won’t be easy playing Warriors but we have to be more focused and pick points away in Kabwe,” he said.

Bornwell Mwape converted from the spot to level matters and force a draw after Tanzanian striker Elias Maguri had put the Sugar Boys in the lead with his fifth goal of the season.
