NAPSA Stars defender Sydney Phiri is in India for a medical procedure following an injury he suffered at the start of the season.
Phiri is scheduled to undergo surgery in India soon as part of treatment and road to recovery for the injury which he sustained in week 4 against Nkana.
The Pensioners took to social media to confirm the development and wish the 2017 U20 AFCON winner a successful procedure and a speedy recovery.
“We are pleased to share that our Right Back, Sydney Phiri, has traveled to India for a scheduled knee surgery. Sydney suffered the injury during our Week 4 match against Nkana FC.
We wish Sydney a successful procedure and a speedy recovery. We’ll keep our fans updated on his progress.”
India is believed to not only have one of the best healthcare systems in the world but also has the most AFFORDABLE and ACCESSIBLE healthcare.
It’s not a strange place for Zambian football as Power Dynamos in 2019 sent Alex Ng’onga and Godfrey Ngwenya for a two weeks medical treatment.
The two players were sent to India for specialized knee surgeries at the Fortis Hospital in New Delhi.
