NAPSA Stars came from a goal down to beat Buildcon 2-1 in a rescheduled MTN/FAZ Super League this afternoon at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
After an uneventful half hour, the visitors were forced to make a change after Shadreck Musonda picked up a knock and was replaced by Kapembwa Musonda who is on loan from the Pensioners.
Six minutes after the restart of the second Kapembwa was brought down in the box and referee Leonard Akapelwa pointed to the spot, Emmanuel Okutu stepped up and made no mistake, 1-0. Three minutes later things got even worse for the hosts as Skipper Dickson Chapa was sent off by Akapelwa for a second bookable offense.
Ten Man NAPSA Stars however leveled matters four minutes later with Doisy Soko bundling it over the line, 1-1.
The Pensioners took the lead in the 68th minute as Bornwell Mwape produced a fine finish from outside the box with his first touch a minute after replacing Emmanuel Mayuka. NAPSA Stars held on to win the match 2-1.
The win sees NAPSA Stars move out of the relegation up to 13th place with 24 points. Next up for NAPSA Stars is Power Dynamos at home at Woodlands Stadium.
