NAPSA Stars have appointed former Zambia international Charles Musonda as the club’s director of football development and advisory as they look to strengthen their technical structures and player development pathways.
The Lusaka-based club announced the appointment on Thursday, with Musonda expected to contribute to player development, training structures, technical scouting and talent identification.
Musonda brings extensive playing experience to the role, having represented Mufulira Wanderers in Zambia before joining Belgian giants RSC Anderlecht.
His appointment is part of NAPSA Stars’ broader efforts to enhance their football operations, develop emerging talent and establish a sustainable foundation for long-term success.
NAPSA Stars board chairperson John Chundu said the club was delighted to bring on board a respected figure whose experience and understanding of the game would help strengthen its football structures.
“His appointment underscores our commitment to developing talent, enhancing technical excellence, and positioning NAPSA Stars for long-term success both on and off the pitch,” Chundu said.
He added that the club was confident Musonda’s expertise would play a critical role in shaping its future growth.
Musonda expressed his gratitude following the appointment, saying he looked forward to working with the club as it pursued its development ambitions.
“I am humbled to be at NAPSA Stars, and I look forward to working with the team as we contribute to the club’s growth and development,” he said.
The appointment places a former Zambian football international in a strategic role focused on improving the club’s talent development and technical planning as NAPSA Stars seek to build for the future.
