Collins Mbesuma and Kennedy Mweene were on Saturday in action in the Telkom Knock-out Cup but were unfortunately dumped out of the tournament when their respective teams lost at the quarter final stage.
Sundowns lost 3 – 1 on penalties to ten man Supersport United after playing to a goalless draw at the end of extra time.
Mweene had a good game on the day and was up to the task whenever called to action despite Sundowns dominating possession almost the entire game.
Mbesuma saw his Highlands Park team go down 2 – 1 to Orlando Pirates in a game he played 88 minutes.
The Chipolopolo striker came close to leveling matters in the 88th minute when he saw his shot come off the upright.
Both Mweene and Mbesuma will now head for the Chipolopolo camp to prepare for Cameroon.
