2012 AFCON winner Kennedy Mweene kept his second clean sheet in a row as Mamelodi Sundowns continued their brilliant form on Monday afternoon.
The Zambian international started between the sticks again having kept a clean sheet in the 4-0 win over Richards Bay to help Masandawana qualify to the last 16 of the Nedbank Cup.
Masandawana returned to winning ways as they beat Chippa United 2-0 their first win in the DSTV premiership since they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Augustine Mulenga and Amazulu back in December to end a 17 match unbeaten run.
Andile Jali netted with a deflected shot to hand the Tshwane giants a well-deserved lead in the 44th minute, 1-0.
Substitute Teboho Mokoena sealed a 2-0 win over Chippa with a wonderful long-range shot in the 87th minute as he netted his first goal for the Brazilians.
Next up for Masandawana is a CAF Champions League match against Al-Hilal Omdurman at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium this Friday.
