Green Buffaloes have been working on the background to shape up the squad ahead of the new season.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that head Aggrey Chiyangi has been working on fine tuning his squad ahead of the kick off the season this coming weekend.
Former Buildcon forward Joseph Kanema leads the new faces expected at the Zambia army sponsored outfit in the 2025/2026.
Kanema has been training with Green Buffaloes and the ZamFoot Crew understands that it’s a done deal.
Others are former Green Eagles goalkeeper, Sebastian Mwange and defender Shapy Chikondi Njobvu who recently parted ways with Nchanga Rangers.
The former Green Eagles and Power Dynamos goalkeeper returns to the top flight after missing in the last few seasons.
Mwange rose to prominence back six years ago as he was named the 2019 COSAFA Cup goalkeeper of the tournament after his heroics that helped Zambia to the title.
He earned himself a move to the South African BETWAY Premiership with Maritzburg United but it was unsuccessful.
He returned home to join Power Dynamos for a season before returning to Choma to rejoin the Zambia National Service sponsored outfit.
Buffaloes have also acquired the services of goalkeeper Melvin Maputa on loan from Atletico Lusaka.
Defender Malani Gondwe, Midfielder Youremember Banda, winger Robin Siame, defensive midfielder Abeauty Simazuwo are also back on the books of Green Buffaloes.
Gondwe was on loan at Nkwazi while Youremember Banda had a stint with Choma based Green Eagles.
Buffaloes recently concluded the acquisition of midfielder Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga who penned a two year deal after leaving relegated Forest Rangers after the expiration of his contract.
Buffaloes will start their 2025/2026 MTN Super League campaign this Saturday with an away tie against High Flying Nkwazi.
