Muza FC produced a shock in the FAZ MTN Super League when they beat Napsa Stars 1 – 0 away from home in a week 8 fixture to peak their first win of the season.
The book makers would certainly have given this to Napsa going by form and experience but the promotion side was not having any of that as they held their own to see the two teams go into the break level.
Emmanuel Manda scored the lone goal of the match when he finished off a Daniel Chewe pass in the 50th minute.
Despite the win, Muza remain bottom of the log on 4 points while Napsa Stars are 7th on 9 points.
Elsewhere in Stream B, Nkwazi walloped new boys Circuit City 3 – 0 to go top of the log. Eric Chomba scored a brace with Emmanuel Chabula contributing the other goal in the game.
Nkwazi are now on 15 points having only lost twice this season. Circuit who have impressed coming straight from the lower division drop into 6th position on 11 points.
Green Eagles recorded an important away win they beat Lumwana Radiants 1 – 0 thanks to a Kizito Chilufya 14th minute goal. The win takes them up to 3rd position on 13 points.
In Stream A, Kabwe Warriors have gone top of the log after beating town rivals Prison Leopards 1 – 0 thanks to a late Clement Mundia goal.
The results leaves Warriors as the only unbeaten team in the league so far and they will anxiously await the result between Zanaco and Mufulira Wanderers on Sunday to confirm their spot as leaders at the end of week 8.
