MUZA settle for Mathews Ndhlovu after Lameck Banda departure

Zambian Super League side FC MUZA are set to announce the appointment of Mathews Ndhlovu as their new head coach.

This follows the departure of their History making coach Lameck Banda as reported by the ZamFoot Crew yesterday.

The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Elegant Dynamites have settled on the former Kabwe Warriors player as the man to take the club forward.

The club will make an official announcement in the next few hours.

Ndhlovu has previously coached Real Nakonde, Mufulira Blackpool, Gomes, Riverplate among others.

Lameck Banda was appointed FC MUZA coach in August 2022 and led the club through a historic 2022-23 season.

During his tenure Banda led FC MUZA to impressive performances that saw the club finish second in the Super League and automatically qualify for their maiden CAF Confederation Cup.

Banda also led the Mazabuka outfit to the ABSA Cup Final where they lost to Forest Rangers at a packed Woodlands Stadium.

MUZA will be representing Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup in the 2023-24 Season and this will be the Club’s maiden appearance in Africa’s elite club tournament.
