Muwowo strike sinks Eagles

Forest Rangers 1-0 green eagles.

Perry mutapa’s Side collected the much needed inspiration after beating green eagles 1-0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on  Sunday.

Rangers had an impressive performance in the early minutes of the game and they seemed to be aiming for an early goal at any given moment.

In the 16th minute eagles took a free kick just outside the box but it went straight into the wall, after 21 minutes of play mutshinemu saved a goal bound shot that would have given the visitors a lead.

The home side was dominating but still failed to find the back of the net the match ended 0-0 at the half time.

 

Second half of the game got underway and rangers took out the captain Douglous muwowo and brought in the 2012 AFCON winner Issac Chansa that was in the 63rd minute

With 20 minutes to go forest Rangers made their last substition and brought in one of the latest inclusions to the squad from Zesco united Adams zikuru who is on loan.

Forest Rangers recorded their first home win thanks to a 88th minute strike from their  star player Austin muwowo.
