Zambia Super League defending Champions, Power Dynamos have unveiled Osward Mutapa as the club’s new Head Coach.
Mutapa takes over from Mwenya Chipepo who left the club back in November last year and has since joined Forest Rangers.
Mutapa was unveiled on Tuesday morning at a colourful event at the Power Dynamos secretariat in Kitwe.
The Zambia U-23 National Team boss has penned a two and half year deal at the Yellow side of Kitwe.
Power legend Linos Makwaza who was an interim head coach will revert to his position of first assistant coach.
Mutapa recently left Lusaka based side Nkwazi after a mutual separation following a year at the summit at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Mutapa joined Nkwazi in January 2023 while the team was embroiled in a serious relegation battle.
Mutapa helped the Zambia Police sponsored outfit survive relegation on the final day of the season with a 1-0 win over Green Eagles thanks to a Stephen Mutama first half free kick.
Nkwazi are currently 7th on the log with 30 points within just 3 points of Power Dynamos in third position.
At Arthur Davies Stadium, Mutapa will be tasked to battle for the title defence or at the least qualify the team to the CAF Confederation Cup.
