Mutapa aims to give Zambians something to celebrate about 

Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa says his side wants to give the Zambian people something to celebrate since they are playing on Independence day. 

Power Dynamos host Vipers of Uganda this afternoon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the second leg of their second preliminary round encounter. 

Power lead 2-1 on aggregate following their away win last weekend.  An own goal and a Moses Shumah goal gave Osward Mutapa’s side a comfortable away win. 

“Playing on Independence Day, I think we need to give the Zambian people what to celebrate about,” he said. 

 “Yes, we have to celebrate our Independence but also go further in what we want to achieve, and this is to play in the group stage,” he added. 

Abayellow will again be without Chipolopolo goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga who is unwell Mutapa confirmed during the pre match press conference. 

Mutapa will look to Willard Mwanza to continue in goal with John Soko, Jackson Mulambia and Bamidele playing an important role at the back.

In midfield, Owen Tembo, Daniel Adoko, Prince Mumba and Fredrick Mulambia will be key for creativity and protecting the back four. 

Upfront Moses Shumah is expected to lead the attack once again. 

Kick off at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is set for 15h00 Central African Time.
