Mumbwa Medics remain top after another walkover in Central Province Division One

It seems Mumbwa medics luck of reaping where they are not sowing this season has continued as they have credited another set of free 3 points for a second time this season when Intersport FC failed to meet them, another free benefit came when Blessings FC before they sold the slot to Pre-Cem failed to fulfill the fixture and such results have made them sit pretty comfortably well on top.

The central province Division One league has continued recording many walkovers much to the dislike of everyone when Zambeef for the third successive time failed to fulfill their fixture away to Zesco Itezhi Tezhi.

Mines United had to use the skills of Mumbwa to mine a 2-1 win when Mumbwa skills rangers bad form away from home continued in what was a balanced affair with Mines United using the home ground advantage to their benefit.

Mumbwa teams’ struggles away from home seem to be a trend as Mumbwa United were outclassed at Zambeef grounds in Chisamba to Fringilla in a match in which Gillian the Fringilla midfielder proved difficult for the visitors to contain.

They managed to keep the home side at bay in the first half as it ended nil-nil but in the second half, the pressure was too strong to soak as they conceded in the 63rd minute and it would have been worse Fringila didn’t concentrate on entertaining the home crowd with some classy and cheeky display.

Kabwe Rangers despite picking up maximum points in a narrow one-nil win, didn’t put up a good fight. They were below par when playing against visiting Kabangwe Happy Hearts who had nothing to threaten with. If Kabwe Rangers are to play national league playoffs, they need to up their game going forward.

Tazara Express of Kapiri played to a scoreless draw with visiting Chindwin sentries of Chindwin Barracks in Kabwe while slot buyers Pre-Cem started on a good note as they managed to pick up a point playing at home in Chibombo against Nangoma the drawing specialist who have drawn all their matches so far with a two all draw.

Serenje Police were held to a scoreless draw by Kabwe General Hospital while the game involving Young Raiders and Zesco Kabwe was moved to a later date due to reasons not yet revealed to the ZamFoot Crew.
