What a way of starting life at a new club for both Larry Bwalya and Chris Mugalu who were playing for the first time for their new Tanzanian club Simba Sports Club.
As per custom the Wekundu wa Msimbazi celebrates the club’s success after concluding the season by inviting a club to play a friendly match and this year’s guest were Vital’O of Burundi, the club also uses this opportunity to unveil their new signings to the fans before the new season kicks off annually and it called Simba day.
Among those who where unveiled this afternoon was former Power Dynamos maestro Larry Bwalya and former Lusaka Dynamos striker Chris Mugalu.
After a colourful presentation, Larry Bwalya started the match in midfield while Cletus Chama and Chris Mugalu start on the bench and It did not take so long for Simba fans who were left with nothing but to cheer Larry Bwalya after he started the move with an audacious flick pass to Bernard Morrison who squared it to John Bocco for the second goal of the match.
Cletus Chama came from the bench to score the third goal when he showed composure in the box and then he set up Ibrahim Ajibu for the 4th goal of the afternoon. Chris Mugalu announced himself to the Simba fans with the 5th goal from close range in the 6-nil win.
The Sven Vandenbroeck coached side won the Tanzanian Premier League and the Azam sports federation cup and will now set their eyes on the CAF Champion League trophy
Zambian produced players are performing well.
