MTN Super League conclusion set for 3rd June

The MTN Super League is scheduled to reach its conclusion on June 3rd, in accordance with memorandum 162 of the Zambian Premier League for the 2022/2023 season.

Brian Mulenga, Manager of the Zambian Premier League, has officially confirmed that the Elite League will conclude on June 3rd, while the second tier will conclude on Sunday, June 4th.

Originally slated to conclude on the weekend of June 27th and 28th, the top two leagues in the country have been rescheduled due to the ABSA Cup being postponed by one week.

In Week 34, the matches for the MTN Super League and the FAZ National Division One will be played simultaneously at 15:00 hrs.

“We hereby announce that, as a result of the ABSA Cup Final date change, the Zambian Premier League for the 2022/23 Season will officially conclude on June 3rd, 2023.

The closing fixtures for Week 34 are as follows: the MTN Super League will conclude on June 3rd, 2023, with all matches being played simultaneously at 15:00 hrs.

The FAZ National Division One will conclude on June 4th, 2023, with all matches also being played simultaneously at 15:00 hrs.”

Furthermore, the crowning ceremony for the MTN Super League Champions will take place at Nkoloma Stadium immediately after the conclusion of the match between Red Arrows and Power Dynamos, and it will be broadcast live on SuperSport.

Likewise, the crowning ceremony for the FAZ National Division Champions will occur after the conclusion of the match between Trident and Jumulo, and it will be broadcast live on ZNBC TV3.
