Morocco name star studded squad for Zambia clash

Morocco have named a star studded squad for the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia and Republic of Congo.

The Atlas Lions host the Copper Bullets on June 7 in Adagir in what is expected to be a mouthwatering tie.

Zambia will then host Tanzania at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on June 11 in Ndola.

Morocco’s head coach Walid Regragui has named new a new addition, Oussama Targhalline who plays with Le Havre.

Regragui has only called up one player from the Morocco’s Botola Premier League, AS FAR goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid.

The other goalkeepers are Yassine Bounou, Munir El Kajoui, and Benabid.

Defenders are led by PSG’s Achraf Hakimi, Romain Saiss, Nayef Augerd, Noussair Mazraoui and Yahya Attiat Allah in addition to Achraf Dari, Abdelkabir Abqar, Mohamed Chibi, and Chadi Riad.

Midfielders will include Amir Richardson, Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, Oussama El Azzouzi in addition to rising stars like Bilal El Khannouss, Azzedine Ounahi along with Sofyan Amrabat, Oussama Targhaline, and Ismael Saibari.

Forwards include Sooufiane Rahimi, Amin Adli, Hakim Ziyech, Ayoub El Kaabi, Youssef En-Nesyrri, Ilias Ben Sghir, and Ilias Akhomach.
