Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah was named 2017 African Player of the Year at the Aiteo CAF Awards hosted in Ghana.
The Liverpool striker who has been in fine form for both club and country beat Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of Gabon who who the first runner up and Sadio Mane of Senegal to the title.
19 year old Zambia national soccer team striker Patson Daka was named the 2017 Africa Youth Player of the Year at the same event.
