Miguel Chaiwa joins BSC Young Boys

Former Zambia U-17 national team defender Miguel Changa Chaiwa has joined Swiss outfit, BSC Young Boys.

The young defender has penned a 4 year contract with BSC Young Boys, The deal was officially signed today, the ZamFoot Crew can reveal.

This is after Shamuel and BSC Young Boys agreed all the terms and signed the contract on the sale of Chaiwa.

Chaiwa is the first ever Shamuel to make a move to Europe much to the excitement of the club.

The 2019 COSAFA U-17 winner says it’s a dream come true to join BSC Young Boys.

“I’m very happy to join YB family. I’m exited and it’s a dream comes true. I shall now work very hard of the pitch and do all I can to justify the trust that Young Boys gave me.
I can’t wait to play in-front of Young Boys fans,” Chaiwa told the ZamFoot Crew

“I want to thank to my Agents Nir Karin and Fred Bwalay that are with me from a young age and they’re always there on my side.

I want to thank Shamuel football club that was my home in last few years. A Special thanks to Presidnet Vivian Kangwa.”

“I want to thank also Mauro Sanna and his team Athletico Lusaka that was my club
In last 6 months ( On loan from Shamuel) and helped to improved my game.

I shall now talk only on the pitch and I won’t be available on social Media and or to any media things. Please respect my wish to focus in my new club,” he added.

The deal was facilited by agents Nir Karin and Fred Bwalya. Karin said it’s one of his happiest day in football and he’s just so proud of Miguel Chaiwa.

YB sports director Steve von Bergen says that Miguel Chaiwa is an exciting player who has a bright future: “We are very pleased that this talented player has decided to move to YB. Miguel Chaiwa wants to develop further with us. And we want to do everything we can to ensure that he can develop his great potential with us.”

Karin and Chaiwa are already in Switzerland to complete all the formalities and for Chaiwa to start life in Bern.

BSC Young Boys have qualified for the 2022–23 UEFA Europa Conference League after finishing third in the 2021/2022 Swiss Super League.

    What’s happening to our clubs on the copperbelt. Seems the club officials have no contacts with soccer agents. Though, the main contacts are with bar men after the final whistle?!
