Zambia national team head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is set to recall defender Stophila Sunzu ahead of the two crucial back-to-back qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Sunzu last played for Chipolopolo on November 14th, 2019 in the humiliating 5-0 loss to the Desert Foxes of Alegria away at the
Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida.
With Zambia in a very difficult situation with only one win from four games, three points, and bottom of the table and only an outside chance of qualifying to the tournament, Micho may be forced to look to the Chinese based defensive kingpin for experience and guidance, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
Sunzu is likely to partner TP Mazembe defender Tandi Mwap,e in the heart of defense when Zambia hosts group H leaders Algeria and travels to Harare for their final match of the qualification tournament.
Zambia hosts Algeria on 25th March at the National Heroes Stadium before traveling to face the Warriors of Zimbabwe four days later.
Kabaso Chongo is also required plus Nathan in midfield because if you look at the current options i would rather go for the old guard looking at how the young guns floundred at the CHAN and the last two qualifiers

Sunzu despite years of experience, lacks self confidence when under pressure. he has cost us crucial games quite a few times. Thank God he scored that decisive goal at CAF 2012. Sinkala lacks creativity as mid fielder. How is Cleotus Chama? Kalaba?

Hey coach these guys are good for your first eleven,but NOW you shuffle them to you plan,dont just put ci player because is his energy levels are high but no brains.

It’s a wrong move by Micho. Let him treat the 2 games as preparatory matches for world cup qualifiers. We are already out of contention for the Africa Cup so why stick with the old guards. We need to continue with the rebuilding process.

Chongo is hardworking, but can easily cause penalties with his tackles.
That’s the right move,however kabaso chongo should be considered as number two.

Micho does not really believe in Zambia. He is just here for the salary. He has idea how good Zambia can be and how they should be played. He is used to individual play. Zambia has never been an individual game but work best as a team. Those crossed from the centre never result in meaningful attacks.
Advice to Micho and the entire Technical team. If Zambia has to come out of its slumber and achieve results in order to Qualify, much is needed to be done. Knowing you are at the bottom of the group and need points. You have to go with all guns blazing .
You need to go for goals in order to correct maximum points. Yes you also need to sharpen your defence. But there is nothing to defend for , you are already at the bottom and need points to go up. Therefore,I suggest you go for the Striking Force to find Goals. That demolishing 5-0 tells us talks of poor defence and Poor Front line. More goals conceded and No Goals scored.
Find guys can bite back against old rivals in terms of Goals and find good guys that can defend.
Sure short mèmory. The same old players are the ones that made zambia to loose to zimbabwe at home and suffer a 5-0 bashing at the hands of algeria in the first games. And the same old players failed to qualify to the last two afcon editions. But you are still crying for them.
