The Zambia national team will today July 8th, 2021 face Lesotho in their opening match of the 2021 COSAFA Cup tournament.
Speaking ahead of today’s game Chipolopolo Boys head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic says his team will take each game as it comes. He is very positive about getting a win in the first game.
Micho was also quick to praise FAZ for helping in the preparations as the players were made available immediately after the league ended.
“We will approach every match as it comes, and we are looking forward to the game against Lesotho and approach the match in the best possible way, and get a win, which will boost our confidence in the remaining games,” he said.
“We have worked for ten days, and I believe we have made a lot of steps forward, we are looking forward to having tight iron defense so that we don’t concede many goals, and a sharp creative attack to attack.”
“I want to thank FAZ for helping in the preparations, for making the players available on time,” he added.
Zambia will square off with Lesotho in a lunchtime kickoff at the Wilson Wolfson Stadium behind closed doors. The match will however be live on SuperSport’s PSL channel (202) and Variety4 Africa (209) and also on the COSAFA website.
