Mbesuma back to scoring ways

Collins Mbesuma got back to scoring ways on Saturday evening when he helped his club Mpumalanga Black Aces to a 2 – 1 win over Moroka Swallows.
After a goalless first half with very few chances, the hosts opened the scoring midway through the second stanza. A corner kick saw Mbesuma break the deadlock, with his shot from close range cleared by Dikgang Mabalane, but not before it crossed the goal-line.

Swallows pulled one back in the 78th minute before Gyimah wrapped up the win for Aces 2 minutes later.
This was Mbesuma first goal in almost four months in the PSL as he has not scored since the 22nd of November, 2014.

He has however been instrumental in the Aces season featuring 22 times out of the 23 games played and scoring four times.

On Friday night, Bornwell Mwape completed 71 minutes in club’s 1 – 1 draw against Chippa United. Amazulu who are bottom of the log played with tem men for 86 minutes and fought hard to earn a point.

Kennedy Mweene continues to be second choice for Sundowns as he again watched from the bench only to play 12 minutes in the midweek game for Sundowns when they thumped Polokwane City 5 – 0.

The evergreen Joseph Musonda however completed the game for Polkwane at right back and was yellow carded in the 42nd minute.

Musonda was however rested on Saturday and not named on the bench for the Saturday game against Mukuka Mulenga’s Bloemfontein Celtic.

Mukuka was content with a place on the bench as Polokwane beat Celtic 3 – 0.

Chipolopolo defender Davies Nkausu also watched from the bench as his team Pretoria University lost 2 – 0 to Supersport United.
