Former Chipolopolo striker Collins Mbesuma has been appointed as a first team coach for Motsepe Foundation outfit Pretoria Callies.
Mbesuma has been added to the Callies backroom staff according to media reports from South Africa monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.
Mbesuma has been appointed as a specialist in coaching attacking plays and positioning.
The former Orlando Pirates striker is tasked to help the strikers in the team to start scoring. Callies sit on the bottom of the Motsepe Foundation Championship table with only two wins, two draws and eight losses.
Mbesuma was part of the Pretoria Callies team in the 2021/2022 season, featuring in 12 matches though he did not hit the back of the net in any of his appearances.
The 38-year-old Mbesuma scored frequently at a host of South African clubs, including Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows, Golden Arrows, Orlando Pirates, Mpumalanga Black Aces, Highlands Park, Highlands Park and University of Pretoria.
The Former Copper Bullets forward also holds the most goals in a season (25) during the 2004/05 season for Kaizer Chiefs and also the most goals in a calendar year: 35 in 2005.
He also had a brief spell in Europe, at Portsmouth in England, Maritimo (Portugal) and Turkish side Bursaspor.
