Emmanuel Mayuka could make his debut for his new French club on Friday evening after his club announced that the Zambian international had been cleared to play.
Mayuka made a transfer deadline move to Ligue 2 leaders FC Metz and the club today announced that the player will be available for selection when the team travels to play away against fourth placed Laval.
“Good news for Metz! Emmanuel Mayuka is now cleared to play. He may therefore be part of the team that will travel to Laval on Friday if the technical staff need his services,” a statement on the club website read.
The game against Laval will kickoff at 2000hrs.
Mayuka will be looking to rekindle his the form he had when he played for Young Boys in Switzerland which saw him attract interest and move to the English premier league

Art the best mayuka
His demeanour is ” laziness at its worst!
I like the statement from the top management at METZ: “He may therefore be part of the team that will travel to Laval on Friday if the technical staff need his services”; that is how it should be! The operative word here is IF! How wonderful if Lwandamina had the liberty to choose players IF HE NEEDS THEIR SERVICES!
The truth is Mayuka was never given a chance at Southampton. How did the boy who just come from young boys become lazy all of a sudden. Mayuka was forced to be a bench warmer the moment he got to the saints even when he was coming from a club where he was in form. Mayuka went down in that first year where he was forced to warm the bench. Mayuka will definitely pick up at metz.
”Chipolopolo Die Hards”
Zambian striker & AFCON 2012 Golden Boot winner Emmanuel Mayuka has been included in Jose Riga’s FC Metz squad travelling to Laval for tomorrows Ligue 2 encounter……..in Muyuka I trust!!!
Good luck to Mayuka. His potential is boundless, just hope he realizes it at Metz
mayuka wil shine in french ligue 2.
He just need to work hard and scoring goals to help his club to win promotion to play ligue 1 next season.
Congratulation to Andre Ayew for winning the EPL Player of the month August.Mama Africa is proud of you
@Rascozy…..congratulations for your Ayew winning th monthly award. Obviously u r west african! Over the years Chipos have hammered all African powershouses in football. Minus so called professional which u religiously so rely upon. Don’t u think we r talented more than Ghanians, Nigerians, Senegalese, Ivorians etc! You wait when we get problems of selection out of the way, by booting out funny head Kalu, then u will realise our full potential!
Jealously
