Green Buffaloes coach Bilton Musonda holds newly acquired striker Emmanuel Mayuka in high regard. Musonda told the ZamFoot Crew in a post match interview that Mayuka will add a new dimension to his team once he regains his full fitness.
The former Southampton striker made his Green Buffaloes debut late last month after months of being without a Club. Before joining Buffaloes Mayuka last played football for Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Raanana after his Zamalek contract was terminated by mutual consent in 2017.
Emmanuel has not been playing for long time but he is a good player .If he comes back to his fitness levels he can give us a different dimension in the team that’s why we recruited him,” Musonda said.
“He was not part of this team today because of a muscle injury he got last time in training,” He added.
The Zambia Army sponsored side contacted Mayuka to start training with the team early in match with the view of signing him after he had stayed months without a club following his stint in Isreal.
Mayuka was dubbed as a golden boy of Zambian football after he burst on the scene in 2012, the 28 year old won the golden boot after netting 3 goals, that earned him a move to English club Southampton from Switzerland side Young boys.

His agents where after money and they advised him from that percepective
Wow….that’s really seeking excuses lol.
One of the many “would have been” players to emerge from this continent. He simply is another product of mismanaged early success. Its a sports man achilles heel.
Mayuka has had multiple career resurrection opportunities. Yes England did not work but after that he had France which truth be told suited his style. He had Zamalek, he had Israel. I wont count the recently failed trials in Denmark.
Hopefully GBFC works out for him. I hope he still has it in his legs to compete at that level.
All the best Emma……
Mayuka will raise again we wish you all the best
How, are you crazy, the boy is a failed product of Zambian football. Look at Mwepu, Patson, Fashion and others who are fighting for their places in top teams. He is a failed Project
