Zamalek striker Emmanuel Mayuka will miss Zambia’s trip to Zimbabwe for an internationalfriendly match to be played on Sunday 26th March.
The Football Association of Zambia confirmed that the 2012 golden boot winner who was called to the national team for the first time under coach Wedson Nyirenda will not be part of he team travelling to Zimbabwe.
Mayuka is one of the two foreign based players called to camp.
Kennedy Mweene the other foreign based call up has already joined the team and was part of the team that played a practice match against Lusaka Dynamos.

What is the reason for the withdrawl? The other day we were told Zamalek offloaded Mayuka, was there a retract on that reporting? what’s deal? Zamalek player or clubless? So with Mweene calling, does it mean his(mweene) position with team is on ropes and coach wants to be give a reason to play him for future engagements? Hopefully Mweene still got some left in him for Zambia.
Mweene has to move from that from Sundowns…the sooner the better…
Mweene could.nt be the same but he has that confidence and commanding,in goal, after watching him playing(sundown vs polokwane city),he put up some saves,he always jeck up the defence line
give us a reason ba zamfoot kabili
Big difference between Mweene and Mayuka. Mweene is second/ third choice but every now and then he gets a game. Having met him a few times after Sundowns matches the man is absolutely fit as can be even while being on the bench. Which is testament to his character and mentality. On Mayuka i dont have inside information but a few months ago the guy was looking unfit, demotivated and overweight. Hopefully he has got himself in better shape now.
Zimbabwe said they want to use this match to improve their rankings.. They started training today.
Mayuka not playing should open a window for Walter BWALYA…OR SOMEONE WHO CAN SCORE GOALS. To help Mbesuma.
FAZ plz we shud not throw away the old blanket
