ZESCO Ndola Girls’ star player and U20 National Team Striker has completed a move to Tanzania giants Yanga Princesses FC, a Yanga FC women’s team on a 6 months loan deal.
Mary Mbewe was spotted by Yanga Princesses’ Head Coach Charles Halubono during U20 World Cup Qualifier matches between Zambia and Congo D.R that took place last year in October in which she scored the second goal in the home game that ended in a 2 all draw scoreline.
In her farewell message, Mary thanked the ZESCO Ndola Girls administration and technical bench for allowing her to complete this move which is a milestone for her career.
She further encouraged her teammates to continue working hard and stay focused in their quest to win the Women Super League title this season. She added that she will miss ZESCO Ndola Girls, which has been her home and family.

Mary Mbewe departed for Tanzania via Ethiopian Airlines last Thursday and has since settled in well at Yanga Princesses, her new home.
