Malawi National team has arrived in Zambia ahead of Wednesday’s international friendly match against Chipolopolo Boys slated for National Heroes Stadium at 15:00hrs CAT.
The Flames touched down at Kenneth Kaunda international airport shortly after 13:30.
Head coach Meck Mwase believes they learn a lot every time they play Zambia. Mwase was also quick to appreciate the Zambia FA for always responding to the call of the Malawian football Association to play friendly matches.
Mwase believes Zambia national team is a very good team hence the reason to always come for friendly matches.
“I would like to express my gratitude to the Football Association of Zambia for always accepting our request to play them and we looking forward to a good game and we always learn something new when we play Zambia,” Mwase told the ZamFoot Crew.
” We are playing against Burkina Faso in the AFCON qualifiers so we thought if we play it will give us good preparation for that match and since it’s on a FIFA calendar we thought of bringing a strong squad.
“We have just regrouped two weeks ago, Some of the players play in South Africa have been playing but in Malawi football was suspended, we have done our best to bring the squad here so that we prepare well for Burkina Faso ”
” We know they are a very good team so that’s we always come here to learn something but also to fight because we will face Burkina Faso later on. Our approach is to see how we will fare against Burkina Faso,” he added.
The Copper Bullets and the Flames of Malawi will square off on Wednesday at 15:00hrs at Heroes Stadium behind closed doors.
