The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) through the Play-Off Tournament Disciplinary Committee has ordered a replay in a match between Malalo Police and Sinda United.
According to a letter from the football house made available to the ZamFoot Crew, Malalo Police who had earlier received three points after Sinda United were found guilty of using two ineligible players has also been found guilty of using an ineligible.
The points docked from Sinda United and awarded to Malalo have been docked again and the duo will have to square off again tomorrow at 15:00 at Crested Crane Academy.
“The above case was tabled before the Play-Off Tournament Disciplinary Committee on Wednesday 15th July 2021 at 1130hours.
The Committee has considered the Referee’s Report and Play-off Tournament regulations, the evidence presented and testimony of the complainant, and the defense of the respondent against the allegation tabled before it. The Committee having heard all parties involved has made the following decision.
That three (3) points and a scoreline of three zero is hereby docked from Malalo Police.”
The two teams have also been fined K3000 each and have been threatened with expulsion from the playoffs should they further infringe on the integrity of the game.
“A fine of K3000, OO each will be paid by both sides before the start of the next game. As a result, the game between the two sides will be replayed tomorrow 16th July 2021 at 15hrs at Crested Cranes Academy.
Any further infringements on the integrity of the game by any of the two sides will result in the expulsion from the Play-offs.”
According to the Play-off regulations of Article 14.5. The decision of the playoff disciplinary committee is final.
