Zambia Super League side Nkwazi assistant coach Dennis Makinka is in South Africa currently undergoing CAF A Diploma course training.
Makinka is the newest Zambian coach upgrading his badges with a number of coaches in the recent past upgrading the badges.
Nkwazi took to social media to confirm the development with a Makinka Kodak moment with South African coach Eric Tinkler.
Tinkler is a former Bafana Bafana player and is also coach for South Africa Premier Soccer League side Cape Town City.
“The pair met on the sidelines of the CAF A Diploma course taking place in Johannesburg.
Makinka is undergoing this course as part of the club’s commitment to build capacity in its staff.
The course is an eight-month long program that is broken down into four phases of two-months,” Nkwazi posted.
Red Arrows boss Chisi Mbewe 12 months ago graduated with a CAF A licence following the completion of the course in Tanzania.
Green Buffaloes Women Football Club coach Beauty Mwamba recently completed a high-level CAF Instructors coach that brought together coaches from various parts of Africa in Rabat, Morocco.
Prior to that Mwamba got her CAF A coaching badge alongside Yanga Princesses coach Charles Haalubono and Enala Phiri-Simbeye.
A CAF A License, or its equivalent, is a compulsory requirement for all coaches managing clubs that are participating in CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup tournaments.
