Mabika ruled out as Copper Bullets aim to gun down Squirrels

The Copper Bullets will this afternoon return to action as they face Benin in their second international friendly match of the March FIFA window.

The Squirrels thrashed Liberia 4-0 in their last game while the Bullets hammered the Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville 3-1.

Chipolopolo Boys head coach Aljosa Asanovic is expected to make a few changes to his team this afternoon with USA based Aime Mabika out with a hamstring injury.

Skipper Enock Mwepu limped off in the Congo Brazzaville game but seems to have brushed it off and will lead the team from the middle of the park alongside Klings Kangwa with whom they made an impressive partnership on Friday.

The duo could be joined by Emmanuel Banda, Clatous Chota Chama or the hard working Kabwe Warriors man Prince Mumba.

With Mabika out, Asanovic could revert to a Tandi Mwape and Dominic Chanda partnership or continue with Frankie Chisenga Musonda and one of the two partnering him.

The front three of Lameck Banda, Gamphani Lungu and Evans Kangwa is expected to continue as Asanovic eyes his second win as Chipolopolo boss.

Toaster Nsabata is expected to start between the sticks again ahead of Charles Kalumba and Lawrence Mulenga.

Lubambo Musonda and Rodrick Kabwe have a lot of competition at right-back and left-back respectively from Shemmy Mayembe, Benedict Chepeshi, and Prosper Chiluya.

The match kicks off at 13:00 hours local time (12:00 hours (CAT) and will be beamed live on ZNBC TV3 which is available on the Top Star decoder.
