Chipolopolo defender Aime Mabika is happy to be back with his InterMiami teammates as they kick start their preparations for the new season.
Mabika wants the team to build on their good campaign last year.
Inter Miami CF First Team players underwent their medical examinations ahead of the 2023 preseason over the weekend with the support of Baptist Health.
The examinations marked the official start of preseason preparations for the David Beckham owned side at the Florida Blue Training Center.
“I’m really excited to be back, to see the guys that were away is awesome. We’re coming off a pretty good season last year, so we’re excited to build onto that. We did the medicals with the help of Baptist Health and got the rust off after the break. Now we have to continue building through preseason to be ready for the season. Everything we do from now to then is going to be very important,” Mabika told the club’s official website.
“It’s similar to last year in terms of the culture we created, a togetherness as you saw with the meetings and medicals.”
“You can tell we’re picking up right where we left off culture wise. On the field, we want to build onto what we did last season, we had a certain standard and goals last year and now we want to take it to another level as we continue to take the team where it belongs,” he added.
The Phil Neville coached side have drawn a serious pre-season schedule ahead of the kickoff of the new season.
