Lwandamina weary of underrating Amakhosi

Zesco United coach George Lwandamina believes underrating Amakhosi will be suicidal for his side. The Ndola based side will host Kaizer Chiefs this afternoon at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup pre-group stage play off.

Lwandamina is expecting a tough match this afternoon and is worry of the effect of underrating their opponents.

“If we look down on Kaizer Chiefs we will disadvantage ourselves. In football there are no easy games and each game is different. They may beat us badly if we have that mentality going into the match, ” he said.

The Zesco boss also believes that Chiefs are in better shape as they are active in the league.

“Our friends are playing in the league and we are not. People may think it’s an excuse but that’s reality. The games we have played in the CAF Champions League have given us enough game time and we have tried to mend here and there though we may have hiccups,” he said.

Zesco United will travel to South Africa a week later with the winner over two legs progressing to the group stage.
