Zesco United Football Club head coach George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina has applauded Zimbabwean International Midfielder Thabani Kamusoko on his display and a goal which earned The Ndola Outfit an Important Point away from home in the first leg pre-group stage of the CAF Champions League against Yanga in Tanzania.
Speaking in a Post-match interview, Lwandamina was full of praise for the experienced Kamusoko who earned his side an all-important away goal.
“Kamusoko is an experienced player he was cool, calm and Collected. I changed him about 3 times just in the game until he played as a second striker in the last few minutes and in all the departments he did extremely well, his experience helped him,”
Kamusoko was outstanding for United deployed in 3 different positions in one game defensive midfielder, attacking Midfielder as well as playing as a second striker which led to him equalizing in the dying minutes of the game.
The away goal has lessened pressure for the Ndola based side going into the return match to be played at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in a Fortnight time to determine who goes through to the CAF Champions League group stage and who drops down to the Confederations Cup.
Yanga and Zesco will square off in the return match on September 28 in Ndola.
