The Copper Queens’ preparations for the 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament in China have received a boost with the arrival of Turkey-based duo Lushomo Mweemba and Martha Tembo in camp.
The duo’s arrival brings the total number of players in coach Nora Häuptle’s squad to 20, with only four more players yet to report.
Earlier, midfielder Ireen Lungu, who plays for Sichuan Women’s FC in China, had also joined camp, further strengthening the squad ahead of their opening fixture.
The Copper Queens will kick off their campaign on 5 April against Thailand, with a win securing them a spot in the final on 8 April against either hosts China PR or Uzbekistan.
