SUPER Division giants Zesco United have announced the appointment of Zesco Vic Falls trainer Alfred Lupiya as the 1st assistant coach to George Lwandamina.
Lupiya returns to Zesco United in Ndola after spending a year and some months with their feeder club Zesco Vic Falls, in Livingstone. He drilled the Victoria Falls Ground based side to a second place in the 2017 FAZ Division One Zone Four.
The Zambia Super Division Champions announced Lupiya’s elevation on Thursday through their official mouthpiece – after officially unveiling George Lwandamina as the head coach.
And former Zesco Vic Falls Emmanuel Siwale, who led the Livingstone outfit to a second place in the 2016 FAZ Division One Zone Four, has been appointed as the 2nd Assistant Coach.
“Zesco United FC Chief Executive Officer Mr Richard Mulenga announced that Mr Alfred Lupiya has been appointed as 1st Assistant Coach and Mr Emmanuel Siwale as 2nd Assistant Coach,” reads a statement on the official mouthpiece of the club.
Siwale has been drilling Zesco United before the unveiling of Lwandamina and after the departure of the caretaker Coach Tenant Chembo to Buildcon FC.

Meanwhile, Lupiya is leaving Zesco Vic Falls on second place on the 2018 FAZ Division One Zone Four log. They share the same number of points with Manchester United Academy Zambia (MUZA) – who are table toppers with goals advantage.
