Zambia Super League side, Lumwana Radiants have announced that they are going to be playing their home matches at Independence Stadium in Solwezi due to construction works at their homes Stadium in Lumwana.
The North-Western club took to social media to confirm the development.
“Due to the construction works taking place at our stadium, we will be using Solwezi Independence Stadium in Solwezi for our home games till further notice.”
The Patrick Phiri coached side will host their first league match in Solwezi this weekend (31 October 2020) when they host High Flying Nkwazi in an MTN/FAZ Super League week 1 encounter.
The game will be played behind closed doors as the Ministry of Health is yet to give the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) clearance and guidance on the return of fans to the Stadium.
