Chipolopolo captain Lubambo Musonda has revealed that he has long been an admirer of the style of play of his new club, Silkeborg IF.
Musonda says he is happy to return to the 3F Superliga after being relegated to the lower tier with AC Horsens last season.
The Copper Bullets skipper wants to help the club to success both in the cup and League.
“It is a good step for me to get to play in the 3F Superliga again. I am really looking forward to becoming part of the style of play in SIF. I have played against SIF many times, and I have always admired the style Kent Nielsen and the club go on the field with. I think I will fit in well in the team with my offensive qualities, but at the same time I know that I must also be careful in my defensive actions, says the new SIF back and continues,” he said.
“Now I’m just looking forward to getting started and I hope that I get a lot of playing time this season and that I can help the team to be successful both in the league and the cup. It is a very exciting opportunity for me,” he added.
The former Power Dynamos player has since started training with his new teammates.
Lubambo has penned a one year loan deal, Meanwhile his contract with Horsens runs out in June, 2024.
Lubambo joined Horsens two seasons ago from Polish side Slack Wroclaw and helped the club win promotion.
The 28 year old started his European adventure in Armenia in 2014.
Lubambo scored his first goal for Zambia in 2014 against Japan in a friendly match and has since played 44 matches.
