Accurate passing & trapping of the ball seemingly a milestone for 99.999 percent of our players at all levels. Obviously an area of concern.Football managers twafweni.
@humble african, last time i checked it was goals that win soccer matches is not not? So if west africans know how to score goals it means they can go to world cup and face the best. If southern african is not worried about scoring goals especially against quality teams then they can not go to world cups or compete against the best. Period.
Akomfour, U r right on goals winning games but cant we pick a leaf from teams like (Egypt,Cape Verde,Nigeria in Africa ) & Spain, Brazil and even Germany to mention a few, they play good football and score goal, dont u think this is the biggest difference btn us and them?
Zambia turn over ball ratio is not good. We have lots of unforced errors and the passes are not crisp. This has seemingly become worse under the current coach and his technical team. He needs to work on that…and the way it will work is with FAZ, the clubs but at national team level from all age groups. If Nyirenda now has an idea of what teams he will use in CHAN, AFcOn and World Cup please follow All Blacks and Springbok MO were they make players commit to the national cause by signing an agreement to honor camps and training as well a certain lifestyle as dictated and is fitting for a national team player.
Training must be harder than the actual games with opposition. If the players seek perfection at training the test is easy.
At the moment we are turning out players giving 45 to 50 percent of their potential at national team level …We need the World Cup team to be camped as soon as possible and regular camps held between now and the return game in Constantine, Algeria as well regular camps for AFCON and World Cup.
There should be no reason to wait till the next of a big World Cup qualifier to do the camps.
One of the advantages of Nyirenda as a Zambian coach is precisely because he lives in Zambia
So why not maximize your efforts by uusing the width and breadth of Zambia to find suitable Camp facilities to Horne your skills and prepare well
