  1. Lol, Yaba 1-0 already!! Zambians we will never learn . Ati on paper it’s a game we will win lololo…..

Jack Chirwa and win stone Kalengo will save us don’t worry!!

  2. 23′ Kenya 1- 0 Zambia
Two chances for Zambia… Kalengo fails point as well as Chirwa.
3 good forward passes by Mbesuma have put Zambia in good attacking positions

  3. Right and Left full backs are a problem. Lwandamina should have put tried and tested defenders. These two kids are struggling, Chepeshi and Mkandawire.

  4. I was almost cursing zesco for loadshedding my area at the time of the game, but going by the updates on Chipos performance I wud rather jst hear the results bcoz sinifuna kufa na TB or sorry BP. Thnk u Zesco

    • No Boyi Justice!!!! It is how is Mbesuma and Kalengo doing…. FANTASTIC, this why I believe in grown players, they play with heart not legs.
      KALENGO mwaume

  5. That’s positive but going by the updates am still worried of the defense of all the ried and tested defenders u go for two untested defenders!!!!!!!!

  6. I don’t see kenya beating Zambia ,the only mistake the Zambia defence is giving away cheap free kicks in dangerous areas ,other than that the Zambian keeper who by the way looks suspect has had nothing to do in this match.

  7. Dear bloggers this is football and those of us regardless of the outcome who cursed the Coach, rubished the recalling of old legs at the same time opposing new legs must learn something. For now and regardless of the outcome let’s viva Zambia and we can only get better. Shalom

  8. Lubambo Musonda for Jack Chirwa in 60th minute. If it remains 2-1 by 75 minutes Kalengo out for Mtonga so that we defend more and attack less.

I just hope Kenya opens up by withdrawing a defender. They will still hv problems coz we are using two strikers.

They thought we will go for 4-5-1.

    • @Luapula, never EVER say such on Mtonga, probably is the best mid-fielder in Africa, has been side-lined in years, he is great player. Another humble but great player is Buchiza Mfune (not even on bench today). I watched him 2 years ago, I thought he was a foreigner that’s why he never play in national team or play out of country.

      • Buchizya Mfune has been around for a while and was part of Peter Kaumba’s Chingalika (Kitwe UNited) in which Mfune had a terrific midfield partnership with Trinity Chalanshi, Kennedy Mweene in goals, with CHISALA “Njonginjo” Mwandama and. Joseph Bwalya upfront and Bronson Chama. In defeNce

  9. The combination of Kalengo and Mbesuma is working well and is a good one to watch. My only worry is the defence, its very unsettled. Those two little boys Chepeshi and Mkandawire are suspect. We could have been 3 -1 up if that Chirwa guy had scored that sitter with the keeper to beat. We were crying about the front line. But now its doing well. The department, defence, which we never worried is one that is suspect. We need a big man like Donashano at right back. Maybe it will help. Or Muntali should come in central defence and Katebe can move to right back. Just saying. Otherwise, I am so impressed with Mbesuma and Kalengo.

  10. One thing I like about Mbesuma other than his tact on the field of play is his patriotism….he jumps wen called up for national duty.

  11. Kenya are pushing for an equalizer. Zambia sitting on the lead and using sporadic counter attacks.
I think we need another goal rather than sitting on this lead.

    • Zambia to blame, why delaying tactics, that silly thing to do. Just pack all team with midfielders and defenders. Not delay, bad manners. If I was referee I could rush-out with red cards.

    • @alex you are right. I think we should hv gone the kill in second half coz Kenya were opening up.

They wouldn’t hv managed to contain us.

  12. Postmortem of the game. I noticed one serious weakness in the Zambian game.Zambia did not end the game well and that was dangerous. The technical bench must look into that area. Even though it can rightfully be done that way it does not have to commence so early. Otherwise , there is not much to say for now except to congratulate ba George and entire contingent for the win.

  13. We have won the game but I am not happy. Even if this is winning it ugly but it’s too muc. On the other end, the coach got it wrong on the full backs. Those two young lads, Chepeshi and Mkandawire are suspect and are too tiny for big opponets. Lwandamina should bring back Kabaso at right back. The central defence of Katebe and Sunzu was also error prone. Katebe should go to left full back. Let Munthali partner Sinzu, and Kabaso or Donashano ku right back. Midfielder also “died” in second half. Big up to Mbesuma. I think he was my man of the match from the Zambian squad.

    • You keep bring up Kabaso, there was no Kabaso in Kenya today.
Anyway, win is a win, the 3 young players has done it.
And big up to Kalaba the captain.

      • What I meant was that moving forward, we need players like Kabaso Chongo. I am aware that Kabaso was dropped. Are you happy with the way our defence was unsettled? Thank Heavens we were playing a not so good Kenyan side. If were playing against a more formidable opposition, Zambia would’ve been massacred. Don’t you understand english iwee?

    • For me like ba Justice will agree I am happy that finally we’ve learnt thhe art of playing it ugly that by not doing as cost us not going to the World cup and winning Afcon more than once. If you look at our 1982 Afcon squad. With due respect to Ghana, had Libya not played ugly injuring our unbeatable Keeper Ghost Mulenga in the semi final, that cup had Zambia written all over it and the squad had extremely serious talent (Ghost Mulenga, Milton Muke, John “Libya” Kalusa, Emmy Musonda, Michael Musonda, Willie Phiri, Patrick Phiri, Jericho Shinde, Alex Chola, Godfrey Munshya, Peter KaumBa-this team had everything Tiki Taka, Dribblers, Scorers, Midfield dynamos, No-nonsense defenders etc) but for humanism beliefs of being goodie Goodies! More reason Arabs take advantage and akways eliminate us as they come to play dirty here and bury us away. I was happy seeing Zamia doing it in style

  14. Ukusefya ………. But we should never defend against a second best team! Let this guy go foe 2 weeks practicals at Man City. Chicken I mean.

  15. Mission accomplished. We’ve made up for that draw against GB. The real battle will be in Congo. A good morale booster for a friendly against Gabon on Tuesday.

  16. Why are zambian players so small? What happened to big players that we used to have, the likes of tana, litana, malitoli brothers.is it because of the food we are eating or climate change?

  17. Lwandamina was the biggest suspect in that match he failed to lead the game also chisamba was not at his best today he was suppose to be substituted in 60min for Lubambo, kalengo in 70th min for Jackson.Mtonga should have started the game in midfield ahead of that school boy, not what the coach resulted to do after pressure.they say the best way to defend is to attack and that’s what we did in the first half.second half was a different story we allowed Kenya to play putting our defense in panic every time they attacked.for now the coach should try to cement his defense otherwise we are going no where.anyway hard luck ba zed for making us proud away from home.

  18. Ugly win. But serves the need. Wanyama was some hefty buffalo in that midfield. Mbesuma did well to take responsibility and duel with him.

  19. Congrats guyz this is what i told u saying be normal as u be plyn an away game. Bcoz yo response to my advice was applied in the 1st half just after their goal u played as if u were at home and that mentality paid off by making u winning the entire game using the same half. Even though u did the opposite in the 2nd half it helped u realise the saying that: The 1st cut is the DEEPEST.

  20. We should also go back to our afcon winning Jessy not that kamwala material we used today.Nigeria is now using almost the same Jessy as ours.some teams shiver just to see our boys in that Jessy, a game is not only won on the pitch Naka mind game kalafwaika.

  21. Congratulation but I am disappointed with a poor show in the 2nd half. Lets emulate Ghana and Nigeria who show no mercy to minors. Lets hammer them 6-0 in Lusaka.

  22. @CRESPO, I second your motion on the jersey issue. We need the green one with three stripes. The one they used today reminds me of the ones we used to use when we were playing ifimpombwa, Chikanda, tennis balls, and Wembley balls in Kitwe. Our jerseys were made out of mutton cloth (spanki) from the mines! We then colored them with water colours. Bad jersey!

    • Nedcoz (National Education Company Of Zambia) muma 80s had such jerseys in Mansa where father wirked ninshi apo RB oversaw RUCOM operations
