Lameck Banda starts ‘Prison time’ on a winning note… Wins for Eagles, and Zanaco 

Lameck Banda started his Prison Leopards tenure on a positive note as his side cruised to a 2-0 win over Mighty Mufulira Wanderers. 

Goals from David Obashi and Chongo Mulenga gave the Correct Boys a well deserved win in a lunch time kick off at Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium. 

Banda and his assistant coach Bupe Chewe penned a two year deals with Prison Leopards two weeks ago. 

In the second match at the same venue, Kabwe Warriors suffered their third consecutive defeat. 

Charles Zulu scored the only goal if the game from the penalty spot to hand Zanaco the win. 

At Choma Independence Stadium, Green Eagles cruised to a 3-0 win over struggling NAPSA Stars. 

A brace from in-form Freddy Michael and a goal from Derrick Bulaya saw Alex Namazaba’s side collect maximum points.

The brace also sees Freddy Michael move to the summit of the goalscorers chart with eight goals. 

The loss means NAPSA Stars drop to 16th place on the log and are winless in their last six games. 

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Power Dynamos played to a 1-1 draw with FC MUZA while Konkola Blades held Forest Rangers as Mwenya Chipepo started his tenure with the Timber Boys, Fole Malembe. 

Nkwazi FC’s match against Trident FC will conclude tomorrow after being disrupted by heavy rains, it will restart at 10:00hrs. 

Actions continues tomorrow with three matches as Nkana face ZESCO United, Green Buffaloes plays Mutondo Stars while Kansanshi Dynamos host Red Arrows.
