Lameck ‘The Beast’ Banda is fit to lead Zambia’s charge in Morocco on Tuesday when the Chipolopolo face Niger in a FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifier.
The 22 year old was withdrawn late in the 4-2 victory over Congo on Friday in what seemed like a precaution measure.
“Lameck said he was a little bit tired. He did a good job, scored a goal and gave an assist,” Zambia coach Avram Grant said in a post match interview with the ZamFoot Crew.
The Lecce forward has been in lethal goal scoring form for club and country this season.
Last week he scored and provided an assist in Lecce’s 2-2 draw against AC Milan in a Seria A match.
He has been pin pointed as one of the key players in Zambia’s bid to qualify for a maiden FIFA World Cup.
The former Arsenal Tula winger has scored three goals in 9 caps for Zambia.
