Zambian international Lameck Banda was taken to hospital after feeling unwell during Lecce’s Serie A encounter with SSC Napoli on Sunday evening.
The winger was forced to leave the field of play following a collision during the match between US Lecce and Napoli. The incident occurred after Banda was involved in contact with an opposing player in the 86th minute, prompting concern from teammates and medical staff.
Lecce’s medical team immediately attended to the 25-year-old before he was taken off the pitch as a precaution.
Banda was later transported to Cardarelli Hospital in Naples, where he is currently under medical observation.
