Lusaka Dynamos head coach Patrick Phiri says Impressive Kabwe Youth Sports Academy surprised his team. The team from Kabwe lost to lone goal ffrom Marvin Jere but put Dynamos on the back foot for the bigger part of the match.
“We you go into a match you expect anything but they surprised us, We failed to break them. They impressed me, they played very well but thank God the players persevered and get a goal to qualify us to the semi-finals which is what’s most important,” Phiri said
Phiri says his team will do anything possible to win the ‘prestigious’ cup.
” Yes, we are going for the title. It is a very prestigious cup and we will do everything possible to win it,” he said
” We have the depth required to win the tournament as we qualified after playing well. Going forward games might be easier bit every team wants to win this cup so we have to fight,” he added.
Lusaka Dynamos joined Zanaco and Napsa Stars in the semi-finals of the Barclays cup after narrowly beating a stubborn Kabwe Youth Sports Academy side at Nkoloma Stadium.
