Kola returns for a third stint at ZANACO

Zambia Super League side ZANACO have confirmed the return of striker Rodger Kola who has penned one year long deal. 

This will be Kola’s third stint with the Bankers with his last stint coming between 2018 and 2021. 

Kola, 34, has been without a club since his contract with Tanzanian side Azam FC came to an end last year. 

“Zanaco FC is delighted to announce the return of striker Rodgers Kola on a one-year deal. After leaving Zanaco for Azam FC of Tanzania in 2021.

Kola’s return marks the fifth signing for Zanaco FC during the mid-season transfer window, joining Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike, who is also making a comeback to the club.

Others are midfielder Robert Saizi from Malawi, Cameroonian striker Vandelin Eloundou and midfielder Saviour Phiri.”

Kola has since been included in the squad for this afternoon’s match against Konkola Blades in Chillilabombwe.

Kola has previously played for F.C. Ashdod, Gent, Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Veria, Hapoel Ra’anana, Golden Arrows, Hapoel Bnei Lod,  and Hapoel Rishon LeZion.
