Klings Kangwa unveiled in Serbia

Serbian top side, Red Star Belgrade has officially unveiled their new acquisition, Chipolopolo midfield ace Klings Kangwa.

The midfielder left for Serbia on Wednesday after helping the Chipolopolo Boys to a 2-1 win over Comoros in a Ivory Coast 2023 AFCON qualifier with a sublime late free kick goal.

Kangwa met up with his agent Nir Karin in Serbia to tie the deal in preparation for the unveiling. Karin says he is happy with the reception from everyone in Serbia, from the driver to the club President.

The player who sounded very happy said he is amazed by the team culture , history and was shocked to see the team museum with over 300 trophies.

The Zambian international last month penned a 4 year contract with FK Crvena Zvezda from Russian outfit, Arsenal Tula.

“I’m very happy to join the red army of Red Star Belgrade. I can’t wait to play in the home stadium in front of the great fans and compete in the European cups and Serbian league.

I want to thank Arsenal Tula, my home club for the last 3 years and tell them thanks for improving me as a person and a footballer,” Kangwa told the ZamFoot Crew last month.

Kangwa was an important player for Arsenal and was named as the club’s player of the year for the 2021/2022 season. He joined Tula in July 2019 for an estimated €250,000.

The 22-year old midfield genius is believed to have cost the Serbian giants €800,000 (over K14 million). Kangwa will start training tomorrow ahead of the kick off of the new season in July

  1. True and they have already won about 3 of those Championships.
    It is a team with a high pedigree and our boy can only get better.
    He has age on his side he just needs to put in a lot of effort and ambition.
