Chipolopolo midfielder Klings Kangwa has hit the ground running in Serbia and has been enjoying great form since his switch from Arsenal Tula.
On Friday, the Zambian international netted a cracker as Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) cruised to a 6-0 win over FK Radnik Surdulica in a Mozzart Bet Superliga encounter.
The Happy Hearts product was left even more impressed by the fans who came out in numbers to support the Red and White.
Kangwa is however already focusing on Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League third round qualifier against Armenian side, FC Pyunik Yerevan.
“A big victory for us, but we have to continue in that rhythm. I am extremely happy about the goal, it was effective, like all the ones we scored today. I am happy with the victory, but on Wednesday a new challenge awaits us. Thanks also to the fans, the atmosphere they create is incredible, immediately after scoring the goal I ran to them, but we need them even more on Wednesday,” he said.
“I hope that I will also be among the scorers, equally effective, but the most important thing is to win. I can’t wait for the game.”
Kangwa has now scored two goals and assisted one in the four games he has played so far in the Mozzart Bet Superliga.
Should Kangwa and Red Star Belgrade win over both legs they will face the winner between Norwegian side, Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt and Lithuanian side, Futbolo klubas Žalgiris.
