Striker Kings Mutandwa has joined Israeli side Maccabi Petah Tikva from Lusaka Provincial League side, Athletico Lusaka after a successful trial period.
Mutandwa born in 2003 is eligible to play in both the main team and the U-19 Petah Tikva side. Mutandwa will join compatriot Lameck Banda who is on the books of the same team.
The deal was signed with the help of Israeli agent Nir Karin. Mutandwa has been handed a loan for 1 season with an option for another 3 seasons.
The player has thanked Mauro Sanna for his help and progress in life. He said he’s happy in Israel.
He is the second player from Athletico Lusaka to move to Europe after Abel Kanyamuna who is in Portugal having initially moved to Italy back in 2018.
Mutandwa is expected to start playing for his new club from next week.
