Keith Mweemba, Kashala urged to field one candidate

Former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sport Stephen Masumba has advised Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) presidential aspirants Keith Mweemba and Adrian Kashala to dialogue and field one candidate to challenge incumbent Andrew Kamanga at this monthend’s elections in Livingstone.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Masumba said change is a must at Football House because the current administration has allegedly taken the game backwards.

“They should do the right thing by ensuring Kamanga does not return. Don’t be fooled by donations of footballs. If we let them win, we are doomed for the next four years, so let us do the right thing and field one candidate,” Masumba said.

“Mweemba and Kashala both stand a very good chance to win. They should not allow disunity and divide the votes, they need to sit and discuss because they are both doing it for football. If you remain divided, then Kamanga will win and we will continue complaining.”
