Chipolpolo defender Aaron Katebe is set to sign at PSL side Polokwane City.
Katebe is currently on trial at Polokwane who are looking to beef up their defence after they released a number of defenders including Zambian international Joseph Musonda.
Reports from South Africa indicate that Katebe has so far impressed Polokwane coach Kosta Papic.
Katebe (23) is currently on the books of Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League club FC Platinum and he impressed in central defence when he played for Zambia during the Cosafa Cup in South Africa.

gud luck ba guy
this is gud 4 this guy, i see him pairing wel with sunzu.
he is coming up well. hope he will establish himself in the main team.we need that central defence to be solid.
He is tall and strong..the kind of central defenders papic likes, dont see him not signing…polokwane city are a free scoring team but conceed a lot of goals so katebe will most def help them out
You guys think this is good!!…its CRAP!….KATEBE is a national team player who does not need to ATTEND TRIALS!!!
I wonder why he has to go on trial for this not so good Polokwane club. It should be a straight signing for Katebe. Aaron Katebe is better than most of the defenders Polokwane City has. Just sign the player, otherwise there are other clubs that may just sign him without trials. Polokwane City is not even a name in South African football.
my sentiments exactly billy
Well said. Katebe was not suppose to go for trials if was being consistently used at national team. If he makes grade at polokwane , sundowns wil definitely sign him. Pisto masomane admires that young boy.
You guys are foolish,do you really think he would want to go on trial if there are other clubs willing to straight sign him?..a trial is the best possible thing for him at the moment
Mind your language IDIOT.
late lota said gone r days wen zambian went sa play. Trails wil always be there 4 our boys, look at china now things r different big boys r going there
If this guy can beef up a bit (workout in the gym) he soon become Zambia’s number one CD. At 23 he’s still young but time waits for no one.
Remember my words. Just wait and see another John Solo in development. That Katebe will be Zambia’s pride.
john soko not john solo.
Katebe will make it in the PSL.However gone r the days when a player like Gibby went into a German team without any trial! Now the games u watch of Bola yapa Zed on Supersport is sickening. Its not a good advert for our boys. Of all leagues ours is right at the bottom. Its only Kalusha who claims the league has improved, of course for obvious reasons
wow wow wow wow gents…we seriously overate our players to this extent to think this boy is good enough for a straight no trials deal????? The only leagues he can sign for on a straight no trials deal are ZPL and the Zimbabwean league nowhere else on this beautiful earth will his skill set put him in a place were he doesn’t need trials. We need to quit overrating players seriously. Lets clap and be happy that he even got the opportunity for a trial and wish him well.
Another opportunity is beckoning for Aaron Katebe because he has also attracted the attention of Wydad Casablanca, the Moroccan Champs and he has been invited to attend trials.
Hey guys, how does the Zim game compare to the Zed mpila in terms of standard( premier leagues only)?
this guy he is good wish o the best.
